NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man and his girlfriend went on a Easter Sunday robbery spree, according to Metro police.

Convicted felon Russell Frohmuth, 48, is charged in three robberies last weekend.

Police said Frohmuth's spree began Sunday at 10:15 a.m. when he demanded money at knifepoint from a man at a Bank of America ATM on Gallatin Pike.

On Sunday night, police said Frohmuth approached a man with a box cutter in the Home Depot parking lot on Joyce Lane.

In a third robbery, less than an hour later at 8:30 p.m., Frohmuth is accused of attempting to rob a woman outside the Community Market on Trinity Lane. He initially asked her for money and when she refused, threatened her with a box cutter, said police.

Frohmuth was taken into custody Tuesday night.  Items taken during the robberies were recovered from his minivan.

During an interview, police said Frohmuth admitted to all three hold-ups.

Police said Frohmuth's girlfriend, Ashley Wells, 23, was the getaway driver in the Home Depot parking lot robbery. She is charged with aggravated robbery.

Frohmuth, who has multiple theft and burglary convictions, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of attempted aggravated robbery. He is being held on $130,000 bond.

Wells is held on $75,000 bond.
