Police raided a home in search of crack cocaine on Thursday.
Officials found 4.5 grams of crack cocaine that was packaged to be sold. They also recovered 4.5 grams of marijuana and more than $6,000 cash.
Two children were also found living in the home. The Department of Children and Families and the Drug Endangered Children Program was contacted.
Rory Smith, 37, faces charges for possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
Local and state police collaborated with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force in an investigation of the Powhatten Street residence for the illegal sale of narcotics.
Smith is being held on a $15,000 bond. He will appear in Danielson Superior Court on Friday.
