PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police arrested two men in connection with the shooting deaths of two people at a Phoenix apartment Wednesday morning in which a 4-month-old baby boy was found unharmed.

Richard Luzania, 24, and Christian Arguelles, 20, were booked into jail on charges of first-degree murder and other related felonies after the bodies of Alexis Garcia and Fabian Valenzuela were found in a unit of the Franmar Manor apartments near 38th Avenue and McDowell Road, Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes said. The baby boy was found nearby.

Luzania became the focus of the investigation because he is the former boyfriend of 20-year-old Garcia, Holmes said. He said officers were still trying to determine the relationship between Garcia and 17-year-old Valenzuela.

Holmes said evidence and information gathered at the crime scene led detectives to Luzania, who was with Arguelles and several other people. Luzani and Arguelles were interviewed by detectives and arrested, Holmes said.

The child was turned over to Child Protective Services, Holmes said.
