GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
You can find just about anything at Walmart, including love, according to a new study.
Psychology Today magazine did a study of "missed connection" posts on Craigslist.com and found that Walmart is the most popular place around the country for someone to catch another person's eye.
The "missed connection" section of Craigslist.com is where people post information about someone who caught their eye while out in hopes of reconnecting with that person again.
Here in South Carolina it's not just Walmart but football games where someone seems to catch another person's eye.
Psychology Today magazine points out missed connections seem to frequently happen at Walmart in 15 states. South Carolina is the only state where missed connections happen frequently at football games.
Most of the people we spoke with say a little delayed courage goes a long way when finding love at first sight or at least second sight.
Walmart released this statement to FOX Carolina, saying in part:
"With two-thirds of Americans shopping a Walmart store each month, it's no surprise that customers can find the everyday items on their shopping lists as well as something extraordinary. We are flattered to be the place where people's daily routine of picking up milk and detergent has the potential to intersect with something more magical: romance. Perhaps the saying should go, 'Love comes when you least expect it - or when you go to Walmart.'"
