Police said three men accused of stabbing a man to death at an apartment complex in East Hartford appeared in court Thursday.
The stabbing occurred during the early morning hours on Tuesday on Plain Drive.
Police said 19-year-old Daquan Williams, Isiah Jones, 20, and Kristopher Pryce, 20, face charges including murder, conspiracy to murder, home invasion and breach of peace.
Police said the suspects all knew the victim, identified as 27-year-old Luis J. Lopez. Police said he died from a stab wound after being brought to a local hospital.
"I'm in charge so I can't be crying or be in depression because he's dead," said Lopez's brother Emmanuel Rodriguez outside of court. "I can't bring my brother back."
The three men, who were all wearing street clothes, were arraigned at Superior Court in Manchester Thursday morning. The courtroom was standing room only as the judge set their bonds.
"The only thing I want is justice that's the only thing that I want," Rodriguez said. "I don't got nothing against those three people because they do a bad decision and now they need to pay for that decision they do."
Rodriguez said his brother had a girlfriend and three children between the ages of 10 and 4. He played sports, worked at a barber shop and loved spending time with his kids.
Williams is being held on $1 million bond while Jones had his bond set at $700,000 and Pryce's was set at $600,000.
All three suspects will be back in court in March 12.
