Many condo owners told Eyewitness News they were not happy with being holed up in their homes until Tuesday after Blizzard Charlotte.
Residents of the Hickory Hills Condos in Seymour said they were "ecstatic" to see a pair of plow and a large snowblower around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
On Friday, residents told Eyewitness News that they saw a snow plow at the complex, however after three days, they were still snowed in.
"I'm really angry, but more worried about my neighbors who are elderly with health problems," said Moss Avenue resident Laura Soleski. "I wasn't expecting to be here this long and I started running out of some food and peoples medicines."
Eyewitness News called the management company for Hickory Hills Condos and they said their equipment broke before they could clear all the snow.
The contractor told Eyewitness News that they tried to get into the complex three times, but Seymour officials could not plow the Moss Avenue until Sunday night.
In Newington, snow clearing crews asked residents of Glen Oaks Condominiums to be patient because "they are plugging away."
"We've been trying to open up at least the parking lots doing clears," said Supervisor Ken Avery of AH Hutchinson Landscape Contractors. "We going through with blowers and shovels getting what we can. Everyone has to have patience. I haven't been home since Friday."
Avery, who has been working since Friday, said it "has been miserable."
"It's been very confrontational at points," he said.
Avery said he expects the cleanup efforts to be done on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
