VERNON ROCKVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

Lines formed at gas stations throughout the state Thursday night and some of them even ran out of fuel.

"Well I kinda wanted to get gas real quick before it runs out," said Vernon resident Michael Sansone.

Three gas stations in Vernon, at least one in East Lyme and some in Torrington have run out of fuel, according to viewers.

"There are several gas stations up the road out of gas," said Nicole Grilli of South Windsor.

There were reports that the Sunoco and Cumberland Farms gas stations at Ellington rotary in South Windsor were without fuel, however, people were seen fueling up at Cumberland Farms later Thursday night.

"I'm on my way home and figured it's the smart thing to do," Grilli said.

One employee told Eyewitness News he delivered 12,000 gallons of fuel Thursday.

"That's what it seems like at the time," said Jimmy Young when asked if he was bringing liquid gold.
