Adrian police arrest suspects after multiple armed robberies
ADRIAN, MI (Toledo News Now) -
The Adrian Police Department has arrested multiple suspects whom they believe are responsible for various armed robberies in the area within a time period of one week.
On Jan. 19, a victim was robbed at gunpoint while walking in the 400 Block of State Street. The victim received minor injuries when he was struck with a pistol. The suspect then stole the victim's wallet.
On Jan. 20, a victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 400 Block of State Street. The victim was walking up his front steps when he was approached by a suspect with a handgun. The suspect put the gun to the victim's head and stole his wallet. The victim was not injured.
On Jan. 23, a victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 200 Block of George Street. A suspect entered the victim's home and held the victim at gunpoint, then stole the victim's wallet. This victim was also not injured.
After an exhaustive investigation, the Adrian Police Department announced it arrested the suspect whom they believe committed the crimes. The suspect was arrested Jan. 27 on a parole detainer. He is expected to be formally charged with several counts of armed robbery and home invasion later this week.
The identity of this suspect will be released upon his formal arrest for charges in these cases.
It is anticipated that several others will be charged with crimes related to these robberies. These suspects are also in custody on unrelated charges. Their identities will be made available when arrests are made for these cases.
