No one was injured in Wallingford house fire

WALLINGFORD, CT (WFSB) -

While on their way back from a fire at a trailer park, firefighters were called to a house fire on North Farms Road in Wallingford Friday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to 912 North Farms Rd. around 4:15 p.m. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and fire could be seen from the building.

There was damage to the basement and first floor of the home, fire officials said.

Initial reports indicated that people were trapped in the residence, however, no one was found after an extensive search of the dwelling.

No firefighters were injured.

The fire was knocked down in 45 minutes.

Before the fire on North Farms Road, firefighters battled a fire at Laurel View trailer park on Pent Highway.

The fire was knocked down in 35 minutes, but not after damaging 50 percent of the trailer.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.

The cause of both fires is under investigation by the Wallingford fire marshal.
