WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

The Windsor Police Department is looking for the man who is wanted in connection with two armed robberies, in which the suspect was wearing a monkey mask.

According to police, a masked man entered the Mobil Gas Station, located at 680 Poquonock Ave., pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money just before midnight.

The man, who walked behind the counter, took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and "calmly" walked out of the store, police said.

Officers along with a K9 searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant on National Drive in the neighboring town of Windsor Locks last week.

The suspect is being described as a white male, who is a 6'. He was wearing dark clothing, work gloves, light colored sneakers and a jacket, which was possibly inside-out as well as the animal mask.

The armed robberies remain under investigation. Anyone with any information on either robbery is asked to call the Windsor Police Department at 860-688-5273 ext. 521 or the Windsor Locks Police Department at 860-627-1461.
