The Connecticut State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a bank in Salem on Wednesday morning.
According to police, a man entered the Chelsea Groton Bank just before 10 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. The suspect, who implied that he had a weapon, fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said no one was seriously injured during the robbery.
The suspect is being described as a white man between the ages of 50 to 60, who is 5'3" with a light-colored mustache.
During the robbery, police said the suspect was wearing blue jeans, blue denim type jacket with brown collar, white sneakers, tan baseball type cap and gray gloves.
State police are asking for the public's help and anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to call 860-537-7500. All calls will be kept confidential.
