NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -
The New Britain Police Department was able to seize a sawed-off shot gun as well as other weapons and drugs during a raid Wednesday night.
Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment at 168 Glen St. after police had received reports of the resident being in possession of several guns. Investigators said there had been several reports of shots fired in area.
Ignacio Lara, 21, was arrested and charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, criminal possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana.
A juvenile, who could not be identified because of the individual's age, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school and interfering with a search warrant.
Along with the sawed-off shot gun, police seized a 9 mm pistol, numerous rounds of ammunition for both weapons and 14.5 grams of marijuana.
