AKRON, OH (WOIO) -
Two people were killed in an overnight house fire in the 500 block of Oxford Ave Thursday morning.
According to officials, the fire started at 2:20 a.m. and destroyed the property.
Akron firefighters are on the scene investigating, and the captain said that no smoke detectors were found inside the home.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office says the victims are women. They were discovered in the bedrooms and pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members say a mom and her adult daughter lived in the home.
