SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -
There are new developments on a man from Southington accused of murdering his mother.
In court Wednesday, James D'Aquila, 64, was once again found incompetent to stand trial. Doctors will have another three months to rehabilitate him.
Police said last February, D'Aquila killed his mother by kicking her to death inside her home at Jensen's Trailer Park on South Road. He then stole her car and drove back to his home in New Britain, police said.
D'Aquila's public defender said his client suffers from schizophrenia.
