Winter Storm Bryan hits Connecticut

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

People all across Connecticut are cleaning up after Winter Storm Bryan left a mess of snow in areas throughout the state.

The storm left up to a foot of snow in some areas, something some resident enjoy, and others don't.

"I hate it," said Middletown resident Raymond Gioco, "I hate every flake of it."

While some don't enjoy shoveling the snow, others enjoy the winter weather and the profit it brings.

"I started at midnight and I'll probably go all the way until noon time today," said David Colligan, who plows snow.

As of Sunday, parking bans in several cities and towns remained in effect until crews could completely clear the streets.

The Department of Transportation told Eyewitness News that crews were on call all night long to ensure that roads were treated and asked that drivers remain careful when traveling.

A spokesman for Bradley International Airport said there have been several delays and cancellations due to the weather, but that travelers should contact their airlines directly for specific information.
