Silver Alert issued for missing Avon teen

AVON, CT (WFSB) -

State and local police have issued a silver alert for a missing teen from Avon.

Police said Shanequalyn Rock, 16, was last seen Saturday morning in Avon.

She may be wearing a black coat, black and white snow boots, and may be carrying a green duffle bag.

Police described Rock as having red hair and blue eyes. She stands about 5'3'' and weighs about 210 lbs.

According to police, Rock may be traveling by bus to New York or Vermont.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call state police.
