GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -
A hiring fair for caregiver positions is set to take place in Gilbert on Thursday, Jan. 3.
The event will take place at 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
All positions will require working with clients in their homes and attending community activities.
The event hosts are looking for caregivers that are loyal, fun, active, dependable and have a passion for working with individuals with special needs.
Beneficial work skills include CPR certification, first-aid certification and Article 9 training, though training for these skills may be offered upon employment.
Potential employees will be required to pass pre-employment drug testing as well as a criminal background check. They also must provide a 39 month MVD driving record, current vehicle insurance and vehicle registration.
The event hosts said experience working with the developmentally disabled and having a flexible schedule with reliable transportation is also a definite bonus.
