Tony Hawk picture causes social media backlash

Tony Hawk caused a stir on social media after he posted of a picture on his Instagram account showing him skateboarding with his 4-year-old daughter. His daughter is up in the air with Hawk holding her hands. Neither is wearing a helmet.

According to a story in the Daily Mail, critics were quick to point out the danger of the stunt. One follower posted, "Crash, split, blood! Put a helmet on her, moron!"

Hawk fired back by saying his daughter is safer with him on a skateboard than many people are walking on a sidewalk.
