Police: Missing Stratford woman may be with granddaughter

STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The Stratford Police Department is looking for an 84-year-old woman who may have been taken from an assisted living facility by her granddaughter earlier this month.

According police, Claudia Herring picked up her grandmother Lydia Scarazzini from the Atria Assisted Living Facility on Dec. 3. Herring told officials at the facility that she was taking her grandmother for a visit.

However, Herring did not return and neither did Scarazzini.

Police believe Herring lives in New York.

Calls by officers to both Herring and Scarazzini were not returned.

Scarazzini has heart problems and is believed to be out of medication, police said.
