Two Bristol men were arrested Thursday after police said they robbed a restaurant in the city Wednesday night.
According to police, Lewanda Jones, 39, and Clifton Richardson, 29, held up Two Brothers Restaurant on Pine Street around 9 p.m.
A friend of one of the employees witnessed the holdup and followed the getaway car from a nearby Valero gas station. He got the car's license plate number and reported it to police. Officers were able to arrest the two men hours later.
Jones and Richardson were charged with robbery and larceny and both men appeared in Bristol Superior Court on Thursday morning. They were being held on $150,000 bonds.
The robbery is under investigation by the Bristol Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 860-584-3011.
