A 17-year-old girl says she was robbed Thursday evening at gunpoint just off Shaker Square, and this comes as Cleveland police are investigating similar cases in the area.
The girl told police a robber put a gun to her head and stole her phone and money. It happened near East 130th and Drexmore and the victim says she had seen the suspect coming from the parking lot of a business at the square.
Fourth district officers quickly searched the area, and they arrested two suspects, a 16 and 18-year-old.
In a separate incident, reports show a woman got robbed at gunpoint at Drexmore and Van Aken. The reports says two men robbed the woman of her purse in a supermarket parking lot there.
Then on Monday, a man told police he'd been robbed twice within minutes on the square. First the crooks took a computer from him, and then when he gave chase he says other thugs pulled a gun on him and took his wallet and other items.
Police are investigating whether the teens arrested Thursday night had anything to do with any of the other recent cases.
