A fire in a utility room evacuated a Glendale care center Thursday night, fire authorities said.
Crews were called to the Glen Cross Care Center at 8641 N. 67th Ave. shortly after 9 p.m.
The working fire was confined to the utility room on the fourth floor of the building, Glendale Fire Department spokesman Mike Young said.
News helicopter footage showed a group of residents in wheelchairs were taken to a balcony.
An investigation into what sparked the fire is under way, Young said.
