PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Two families totaling 10 people escaped safely after the mobile home they were living in caught fire Monday afternoon, Phoenix fire officials said.

Phoenix fire spokesman Larry Nunez said a fire in a shed ignited a tree at about 4 p.m. and then spread to the mobile home near Interstate 17 and Indian School Road.

"Our crews made an aggressive interior attack and were able to save the rest of their property and the trailer," Nunez said.

No one was injured. Nunez said one dog is missing.

Smoke towering in the air was visible for blocks.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
