Phoenix police cancel presser on gang bust

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police and the Maricopa County Attorneys Office have canceled a joint news briefing concerning a big gang bust.

The press conference was scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos said the briefing was dropped "due to unforeseen circumstances."

Police had said more than 200 felony indictments involved charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder along with drug and/or narcotic-related charges.

No other information was provided.
