A cell phone found next to some mailboxes at a Phoenix apartment complex has landed a 26-year-old man in jail on sex charges.
Rasool Sadiq Bechan Al Baghdadi was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on five counts of child molestation, three counts of sexual abuse, three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of public sexual indecency.
Phoenix police met with someone who found a cell phone Friday at the complex at 4227 N. 27th Ave. Officers said the phone had photographs and video of an adult man engaging in sex acts with a 13-year-old girl.
Officers met with witnesses who said two men had a fight and dropped the cell phone in the area of the mailboxes.
Witnesses identified the suspect in the photos as Al Baghdadi, police said.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and had the content of the cell phone forensically extracted.
Al Baghdadi was taken into custody without incident.
