PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Two workers attempting to put up a scoreboard in a Phoenix park were hurt when the scoreboard collapsed on them Thursday afternoon.
One of the workers was pinned beneath the scoreboard at Monetary Park in the 2300 block of N. Seventh Street.
A passer-by helped get the sign off him and called 911.
Police said the victim was conscious when he was taken to the hospital but is in critical condition.
Phoenix fire officials said they believe the passer-by saved the man's life.
The second worker had minor injuries and refused treatment.
