A wildfire burning for more than a week in the Tonto National Forest is now fully contained, according to authorities.
The Big Canyon Fire is 2 miles west of the Tonto Fish Hatchery, which is 14 miles east of Payson.
The flames were first reported Sunday, Oct. 14. It's charred more than 110 acres and the estimated damage is $730,000.
The fire was sparked by lightning.
