PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A man accused of faking a terrorist act just to see how long it would take police to respond to the scene pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday morning.

Michael Turley is accused of endangerment and knowingly giving false impression of a terrorist attack.

Investigators said Turley talked his nephew into dressing up like a terrorist and standing on the corner of 33rd Avenue and Bell holding what appeared to be a rocket launcher.

Several people saw the stunt and called 911 thinking it was real.
