When the sun came up Thursday morning it shined on a large green "A" on A Mountain in Tempe.
The green "A" was painted over with black later Thursday morning.
Tonight marks a Pac 12 showdown as ASU will take on the No. 2-ranked Oregon Ducks at Sun Devil Stadium in a nationally televised game.
Oregon is not just unbeaten, they haven't played a close game all year, but ASU could be their biggest test yet.
For those heading to the game, plan on heavy traffic as a near-capacity crowd of 70,000 people is expected to turn out, with kickoff at 6 p.m.
ADOT recommends drivers who usually head eastbound on Loop 202 in the afternoon and evening take a different route to the East Valley, including eastbound I-10 to U.S. 60 or northbound State Route 51 to eastbound Loop 101.
