PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police took a shooting suspect into custody after a 90-minute standoff at an apartment at West Luke and North 27th avenues.

A police department spokesman Tuesday morning said the suspect was believed to have been involved in more than one potentially dangerous shooting last week. He was holed up in an apartment at a complex just south of Bethany Home Road.

Sgt. Trent Crump said the suspect was taken without incident.

Police had called for additional units for crowd control while other officers surrounded the apartment complex with weapons drawn.
