MESA, AZ (CBS5) -
Southwest Ambulance and Rural/Metro Fire Department workers are wearing pink to raise awareness of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
During the month of October, employees will be wearing T-shirts with pink logs and lettering while on duty.
Southwest Ambulance also created two special vehicles to promote breast cancer awareness and emphasize the importance of regular breast self-exams.
"This fight is personal to many of our employees since they represent those who are touched by breast cancer," said Holly Water, public information officer for Southwest Ambulance.
