'Kingpin Challenge' held by Cardinals

TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

The fifth annual bowling-themed Kingpin Challenge hosted by the Arizona Cardinals football club and Cardinal Charities will take place tonight, Monday Oct. 8, at the Brunswick Kyrene Lanes located at 6225 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Kingpin Challenge is attended by both Cardinals players and coaches. Special appearances will also be made by the Cardinals cheerleaders and the Cardinals mascot Big Red.

This is the team's main fall fundraising event where all proceeds will go to benefit Cardinals Charities.

Both registration and cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by bowling from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. In addition there will be a silent auction from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cardinals Charities was founded in 1990 and supports programs designed to improve the quality of life and enhance opportunities for children, women, and minorities in our state.

Cardinal Charities have distributed more than $5 million to more than 450 charitable organizations.
