A 19-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged role in a 2012 shooting at a crowded Chandler restaurant, police said.
Members of the U.S. Marshals East Valley Violent Offenders Taskforce took 19-year-old Michael David Calvin Jr. into custody at a Tempe home in connection with the shooting at Serrano's restaurant.
He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of aggravated assault and 25 counts of endangerment.
One man was shot after bullets started flying on Oct. 6, 2012.
Police said the gunman walked up to the table where the victim was sitting with some other people and asked if he knew who he was. Yelling escalated into a fight in the aisle of the restaurant. Witnesses say that's when the shooter pulled a gun from his waistband and fired several shots.
Downtown was a lot busier than usual. Hundreds of people gathered just a block away from where the shooting happened for an event called the Taste of Chandler.
