Marshall Way Bridge is going pink for the month of October

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Marshall Way Bridge in downtown Scottsdale is going pink for the month of October in honor of breast cancer awareness.

A VIP lighting ceremony is being held tonight, Oct. 4, at Olive and Ivy located at 7135 E. Camelback Rd., suite 125 at the Scottsdale Waterfront. The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. with the lights being turned on around 7:30 p.m., or once it is dark enough.

People are able to support the cause by sponsoring a pink light bulb for $25.

All the proceeds go to benefit the Arizona Institute for Breast Health and those battling a breast cancer diagnosis.

The Marshall Way Bridge spans the length of the Arizona Canal in the Waterfront District.
