PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Phoenix home was destroyed by fire, but a childcare center was spared damage due to the quick actions of firefighters Thursday morning.
Children were able to attend the center as normal, despite a little smoke damage from the fire that began in an occupied structure on the corner of 12th and Fillmore streets about 5:30 a.m., according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire, the spokesman said, and no injuries were reported.
