Phoenix PD: Bicyclist shot through neck

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A bicyclist underwent surgery for a bullet wound to his neck after an altercation in Phoenix just after midnight Tuesday.

Police said the 53-year-old man was riding his bike on 19th Avenue just south of Camelback Road when he got into the argument with one or two people and someone pulled a gun and shot him in the neck.

Police were still looking for the suspect about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

No other information was immediately available.
