PHOENIX (AP/CBS5) -
Saturday visits to Maricopa County's Lower Buckeye Jail have been cancelledas the sheriff's office conducts a search for weapons and other contraband.
Maricopa County Sheriff spokesman Chris Hegstrom said about 150 deputies andvolunteers will search the 2,400 bed facility in south Phoenix.
Hegstrom said the search is part of regular security procedures.
A similar search of the sheriff's Fourth Avenue Jail last month led to thediscovery of several homemade knives.
