A car chase that began in Gilbert ended in Coolidge when the driver of a stolen car crashed.
A Gilbert Police Department spokesman said the chase began Friday morning in Gilbert and went through numerous cities before the car crashed around 10 a.m. near State Route 87 and Skousen Road near Coolidge.
The driver was flown to a nearby hospital and was expected to survive.
Gilbert officers and Department of Public Safety patrolmen were involved in the pursuit.
The spokesman said the driver is being investigated for DUI and felony flight.
No other information was immediately available.
