PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 19-year-old woman in a hurry to see her boyfriend might find it a costly proposition after she was clocked at 105 mph on southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix on Tuesday night.

Jasmine Paige Fullbright told Department of Public Safety officers she was on her way from Camp Verde to see her boyfriend when she was stopped. She was cited for misdemeanor excessive speeding, according to DPS Officer Carrick Cook.

Cook said DPS had both radar and laser devices tracking Fullbright as she sped by the Rose Garden exit.

Cook said people often can be cited for reckless driving in addition to the speeding, but both are misdemeanors.

To no one's surprise, Cook said it took officers a while to catch up with her.
