GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
Authorities have released the name of a man who collapsed and died on a hiking trail in the Grand Canyon National Park.
Parker officials said the man was 72-year-old David Roberts of Cleveland, TN.
Grand Canyon National Park Spokeswoman Maureen Oltrogge said authorities were called about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to Bright Angel Trail trail about 2 1/2 miles below the rim. Responders performed CPR but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner are investigating the cause.
