Vacant home destroyed in Mesa fire

Neighbors provided Mesa fire officials with these photos.

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a vacant home in Mesa on Tuesday morning.

Mesa fire spokesman Forrest Smith said authorities arrived at the home near McKellips Road and N. Horne about 11:30 a.m.

Smith said the fire spread through the attic. Fire crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.

No one was hurt in the fire.

No other details were immediately available.
