FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
A Goodyear man is dead after an off-road accident in northern Arizona.
Justin Mojliro Muramoto, 34, died Sunday as a result of injuries he sustained in Saturday's accident in the Forest Lakes area, according to Coconino County Sheriff's officials.
Witnesses said Muramoto was riding a quad type off-road vehicle and following a family member who was riding a quad in front of him.
The driver of the leading quad stopped his vehicle at a stop sign, but witnesses said Muramoto drove into the intersection and lost control of his quad as he tried to make a sharp turn.
Authorities said he was ejected and landed in a ditch. Bystanders, including a doctor, who were in the area of the collision provided initial first aid.
Muramoto was taken to a Flagstaff-area hospital with severe injuries.
