Authorities in Phoenix say three people were badly wounded early Sunday in a shooting on the city's west side.
Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jonathan Jones said a woman and two men were taken to hospital trauma centers after gunfire near Bethany Home Road and 43rd Avenue just after 1 a.m. They are expected to be OK.
At 1:15 a.m., two men started to fight that injured a female patron inside the MVP sports bar at 6001 N. 43 Ave., Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said. The men were booted from the bar but returned a few minutes later, possibly accompanied by a third suspect, and opened fire on a group standing outside.
At least two other people suffered minor injuries from an unknown cause, Crump said.
The suspects then fled in a four-door sedan last seen eastbound on West Bethany Home Road.
The crime scene was active through Sunday morning.
Phoenix police said both suspects are black. One of them is between 25 to 30 years old. He is about 5'6" tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing an Atlanta Falcons jersey and ball cap.
The other man is described a 5'10" tall with a thin build. He sported a braided goatee and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a ball cap.
