PHOENIX (AP) -

Critics of the most contentious provision of Arizona's immigrant law are again protesting.

About two dozen activists gathered Friday afternoon in front of Phoenix police headquarters. They chanted and held up a banner expressing opposition to the law, known as SB1070, as motorists left downtown during rush hour.

Earlier this week, a federal judge dissolved an injunction blocking the law's "show me your papers" provision. The requirement calls for officers, while enforcing other laws, to question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally.

The protesters' chants included "We will not comply," and "No papers, no fear."

About dozen police officers stood nearby monitoring the protest.
