GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -
Brian Schiff, 19, and his girlfriend Hannah Hill, 17, said they could have been killed when two armed men stormed into their Gilbert home Friday morning.
"He ran in, pointed the gun at us and started cussing at us," Schiff said. "He told us to get the 'F' down and told us to turn around and cover our faces so we didn't see him."
Schiff showed CBS5 the back door the intruders smashed in and the bedroom door the gunmen broke through while the young couple was hiding in another room.
It didn't take long for the two men to find the terrified teens, Schiff said.
"I was scared. I was shaking and couldn't stop shaking," Hill said. "I covered myself with a blanket and they ripped the blanket off and said put your hands up, but don't look or we'll shoot you, pointing the gun at me."
Schiff told CBS5 the intruders didn't stay long, grabbing some jewelry and whatever else they could get their hands on.
A few minutes later, Gilbert police arrested one of the suspects a few blocks away near the intersection of Warner Road and Val Vista Drive.
Authorities also detained a young woman who was believed to be driving the getaway car.
The second intruder is still on the run.
"I'm just happy I'm OK and my boyfriend is OK," Hill said. "Nothing happened to us. We calmed down and I'm glad they caught at least two of them. Hopefully, they'll catch the other one."
The victims said they have no idea why they were targeted.
A number of schools in the area were placed on lockdown as police searched for the last suspect.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-23 years old, with short black hair, wearing either shorts or blue jeans and a dark shirt.
