TUCSON, AZ (AP) -
Tucson police say they have arrested a man who allegedly robbed half a dozen convenience stores in less than an hour.
The robberies happened Wednesday night between 9:32 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. In each case, the thief pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.
Police Sgt. Chris Widmer says the same person was found to be responsible for each robbery. Witnesses gave police a vehicle description.
Officers spotted the vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot and found the suspect moments later. He was identified as 30-year-old Richard Ulloa-Gutierrez.
He was booked at the Pima County Jail on six counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery.
