PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Science is everywhere, and the Arizona Science Center wants to remind people of that.
That's why it is addressing some things that make people wonder.
For instance, "why are tires made of rubber?" "Why do cutting onions make you cry?" "Why do the colors red and yellow make you hungry?" "How does the light rail stay on its tracks?"
CBS 5 went to the Arizona Science Center to find out about its new campaign called "Never Stop Wondering."
Ian Barry and his team at the Cramer-Krasselt Advertising Agency helped come up with some of the questions.
"It's really designed to ignite curiosity and interest in science in the places that science is happening," said Kristin Priscella, vice president of external affairs for Arizona Science Center.
Sari Custer with the Arizona Science Center demonstrated how clouds form using a plastic bottle, water and the smoke from a blown-out match.
To get answers to these questions you can log on to the Arizona Science Center's website at http://www.azscience.org/ or for more hands-on demonstrations, stop by the Arizona Science Center.
