PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The body of a woman believed to be in her early 20s was found in a Phoenix alley Sunday morning, police said.
She appears to be the victim of homicide due to trauma visible on her body, said Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were called to the alley in the area of 38th Lane and Monte Vista at about 9:30 a.m. to check on the welfare of a woman found there, Thompson said.
Police said they don't know who the woman is or who may have killed her.
The victim was wearing a black tube top and jean shorts, Thompson said.
