TEMPE, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
An altercation at a party hosted by four Arizona State University students ended when a young man pulled out a gun and shot three people, Tempe police said.
Police Spokesman Charles Cobbs said a young man suffered life-threatening injuries and a man and woman had lesser injuries.
Cobbs said officers called to the apartment complex early Saturday morning found a large party had been under way in a second-floor apartment. He said about 50 people were attending the gathering.
An argument broke out and a young man shot the three victims, Cobbs said. He has not been identified by police and was not in custody at midday Saturday.
Cobbs said one of the four female ASU students hosting the party was shot.
