PD: Phoenix officer hit by drunk driver

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A man has been arrested after allegedly drunk driving and hitting a Phoenix police officer.

The female officer had a prisoner in her car when her vehicle was T-boned on 44th Street and Thomas, according to police.

The officer was taken to the hospital with injuries. The extent is unknown.

The prisoner was not hurt.

Charles Joseph Hall was taken into custody at the scene.

The officer has worked on the force for the past four years.
